The point of this dropout (and the original,as well as nicer looking Black Cat Bicycles dropouts of the previous post) is to allow you to tension your chain while NOT AFFECTING caliper position. It's a real nice looking dropout, and it's functional as hell.

Oh, it's adjustable. I thought it had two axle positions - one for 26" and one for 700c.

i would also guess fromt he soulcraft it works on some kind of cam, so is pretty secure when tightened.
